A mature faith community is made possible through Adult Faith Formation. However, for many Catholics, ongoing faith formation ends shortly after they are confirmed. For these Catholics, the educational ladder to a mature understanding of their Catholic Faith has ended abruptly and prematurely. There is no opportunity to be in conversation with other adults about things that matter. There is no opportunity to dialogue in a hospitable space where the wisdom of all participants is recognized and affirmed.
Here at All Saints ongoing Small Christian Communities meet to pray together, to grow in their knowledge and understanding of God’s Holy Word, and to go forth to be living examples of Christianity in the world. Small Christian Community Groups provide support to parishioners so that they may walk together in their faith journey and draw closer to Christ. Small group members come to understand that the foundation of the Church is the people and not the physical gathering space.
In addition to our ongoing Small Christian Communities, we offer retreats, missions, and presentations by gifted priests and lay people. Each Lent, after we share soup, we also participate in a Lenten Series designed to lead us through the desert of Lent and into the joy of Easter.
