The All Saints Filipino-American Ministry is an active and vital part of the Parish. It was founded in April 2002, and has since been
engaged in most Parish activities, carrying out special projects in support of All Saints. It has worked closely with other Parish ministries, thereby fostering fellowship and camaraderie.
It has sponsored charity projects that benefited our less fortunate brothers and sisters in the Philippines.
Most Filipino-Americans look on the Church as their
spiritual home. At All Saints, Filipino-Americans have certainly
found that special niche within the Parish Community.
The Filipino-American Ministry, or ASFAM as it is lovingly
called, is proud of its many accomplishments, and is humbled
at the same time by the kindness and benevolence of the
Parish Community that enabled it to succeed in these projects.
These activities have also bonded the members into
spiritual fellowship and mutual support. In participating more
fully in the life of the Church, ASFAM helps enrich the
diversity of the Parish. It also allows members, especially the
younger generation who may not be familiar with the traditions
of the old country, the opportunity to celebrate the Philippine
culture, and to keep alive their religious heritage, such as the
Feast of Santo Niño, the Salubong (‘meeting’ between the
Blessed Mother and the Risen Jesus after Resurrection) on Easter Sunday, and Simbang Gabi (a nine-day novena of early
morning masses in preparation for Christmas).
Join ASFAM and be an active participant in our All Saints
Community. We speak your language. Tuloy po kayo.
Meetings are currently held via ZOOM every first Monday of
the month at 7:00 pm. Plans to resume meeting in person at
the Senior/Hospitality Center are under consideration.
